The National Institutes of Health (NIH) *recently issued a notice about the use of AI and grant applications: Supporting Fairness and Originality in NIH Research Applications. The highlights are as follows.
- The agency will not accept applications that are substantially developed by AI.
- The agency will not accept more than six new, renewal, resubmission or revision applications per principal investigator (PI) per calendar year.
