  1. Log into your My NCBI account 
  • If you are faculty/researcher, choose the eRA Commons login option
  • If you support a faculty/researcher choose more login options. Search for and select MD Anderson. Be prepared to authenticate via DUO on your mobile device.
  1. Faculty/Researcher: Click the Manage My Bibliography link located in the bottom right of the My Bibliography box
  • Support Staff: Click the hyperlinked name of the Faculty/Researcher located in the My Bibliography box under the Delegated Bibliographies section
  1. Select the citation(s) you want to delete by marking the box next to it
  1. Click the Manage citations option located near the top of the page > Select Delete citations > Confirm the action 
  1. Done!

If a padlock appears next to the article citation, it is associated with an NIH award and cannot be removed by the user.

Silver Padlock

  • Email: PublicAccess@nih.gov
  • Include: PI name and email address, full award number, article citation to be removed, and a reason for the removal (non-compliant is not an acceptable reason).
