This publication may have been added to your My Bibliography because another author associated it with your award. You are the PI but did not author the paper, but its production was directly supported by your NIH funds.

In this case, you can separate these publications by marking them private. This will remove the citations from the public view of your Bibliography but allow you to continue to track their compliance. If you would like these publications removed from your Bibliography, please follow the instructions outlined here.

Making Article Citations Private

  1. Log into your MY NCBI account (you can log in by way of PubMed)

    • Faculty should login with their eRA Commons account at least once.

    • You can link other accounts (ORCID, MDACC, etc). Instructions here.

  2. Once logged in, you will be re-routed to PubMed. Click on your name in the upper-right hand corner of the screen and select "Publications".

  3. Click the “Filter citations” option located near the top of the page > Select the appropriate award > Click the “Apply” button

  4. Select the citations you want to separate and make private

  5. Click  the “Manage citations” option located near the top of the page > Select the “Set to private" option > Confirm the action

  6. Done!
